Mark is an experienced real estate leader with a unique combination of success in entrepreneurship, company growth, industry disruption, and non-profit organization transformation. He co-founded and grew Skender Construction, a leading Chicago-based general contractor from annual revenues of $800k into an innovative, industry-leading brand at $420m.
Mark created an industry disruptive vision of vertically integrating volumetric modular design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction resulting in generating a pipeline of 30+ projects totaling ~$300m.
In addition to his success, Mark has advised multiple organizations including McKinsey & Company, Hostelling International (USA), and Frances Xavier Warde School Chicago. He was also an adjunct professor of construction management at Northwestern University’s Master of Project Management.
Mark holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University as well as a Bachelor of Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
